Extensions and Corrections to the UDC is published annually by UDC Consortium and gives notice of the officially authorized changes to the Universal Decimal Classification.

It contains extensions, corrections and proposals to the UDC, articles and news. E&C is distributed in the form of a book (A4 format - see front cover of issue 29). A free elecronic copy of the book on CD-ROM (pdf format) is included in the price and is distributed with the printed copy.

Except where otherwise indicated, the amendments refer to the Master Reference File (MRF), the UDC database of c. 67,000 entries, held by Secretariat of the UDC Consortium in The Hague (The Netherlands). The MRF is the authoritative source of the UDC.

However, some publishers are continuing to publish UDC tables at full edition level and amendments to such editions may also be published from time to time.

For editions up to and including 2001, Extensions and Corrections was available in book form only.
For editions from 2002 onwards, E&C has been available as a book, including a free copy of a duplicate CD-ROM (containing pdf files).
Exceptionally, Extensions and corrections No. 27, November 2005, includes a Supplement published as a separate book. The price for E&C 27 includes the Supplement and the CD-ROM. The Supplement is also available on its own (in book form).
In all cases, limited copies of some editions are still available for sale.

Users can consult the summary of changes in the UDC: Major changes to the UDC since 1993 and
Cancellations published in E&C are now fully available as text files
