Libraries and library OPACs

 

There are thousands of libraries in the world using UDC for systematic shelf arrangement and information retrieval. In modern on-line public access catalogues (OPAC) UDC can be used for subject browsing and searching. There is great value in being able to scroll through classified sequences in the same way as browsing library shelves.
